"Kahin Door jab din dhal Jaaye" - Anand ( meaning of the song for me)

Hi,
Have you watched this movie "Anand" in which the lead character Anand(Late Sh. Rajesh Khanna) sings this song. Anand is suffering from a incurable disease and has few days left in this world. No matter how strong you are but the fear of death is such a strong fear that you can not act normal.
Anand is one of the extra ordinary people who is able to control this fear and lives everyday in such a way that everyone is surprised and is impressed with his lively nature.

Deep down inside he was upset with the God because he had other works to do which he could not finish in such a short period of time. This song is the result of that sadness which can make you cry.
He takes care that no one watches him while singing the song:
"Kahin door jab din dhal jaaye, saanjh ki dulhan badan churaye chupke se aaye
mere khyalo ke aangan mein, koi sapno ke deep jalaye deep jalaye
kahin door jab din dhal jaaye, ..."

Although the feelings behind the lines can be understood but it is a little hard to explain them through words. Death is coming to him, similar to an evening coming after the day, but it gets a little hard because there are some dreams which are getting born in the palace of his thoughts.

A normal person love those dreams with full joy and turns them into reality, he forgets his fate for a while and enters into the dreams for a while. Soon he has to face the night, but he wishes if something could stop that because watching dreams is human nature and he was not God.
As the movie goes on, the characters gets so strong that one can not remain without tears.

I remember, in order to hide our tears from the room tube light, which was switched off while watching this movie(Anand), we ran to the room terraces, before it could be switched on by other room mates. That happened in the 1st year of our college days at our hostel in KBH(Kailash Boys Hostel).
I admit that I was over emotional but 3 of us can not be over emotional at the same time. This song remains one of my favorite but because of my emotional nature I am not able to sing this as it is.

Thanks for your kind visit!
